Multi-Warfare Systems Evaluator
Panama City, FL
The MWSE is a large, high fidelity facility designed for the research, development, test and evaluation of systems. The MWSE can conduct detailed, real-time simulation studies of any moving vehicle or platform, such as ships, helicopters, submarines, swimmer delivery vehicles, etc. It employs operationally realistic mixes of torpedoes, ships, mines, sonars, submarines, acoustic countermeasure devices, target decoys, and environment by either high fidelity digital modeling or actual hardware-in-the-loop. In the simulation, each object is modeled to react as it would in an actual encounter at sea. Actual weapon (tactical) hardware is used in the simulator, and is stimulated in real-time by a synthesizer controlled by parallel processing computers that provide the acoustic modeling and signal synthesis.
