Shallow Water Test Facility

Port Hueneme, CA

The Shallow Water Test Facility (SWTF) consists of a 60,000 gallon capacity cylindrical steel tank, 12 feet deep and 30 feet in diameter. A wooden deck 12 feet high surrounds the tank on three sides and is used as a maintenance and operation platform. Mounted on the deck at various locations are electrical, fresh water, and low pressure air outlets. A 5 ton lifting capacity Yale crane is mounted on a 30 ft. high bridge. In addition, a catwalk over the tank allows for personnel access over the top of the tank.
