Polymer Processing and Characterization Laboratory

The purpose is to process and evaluate polymers for use in nonlinear optical, conductive and structural Air Force applications. Primary capabilities are extrusion of polymeric films; fiber spinning; fiber heat treatment rheological and mechanical properties characterization of films, bars and fibers; spin casting and self assembly of thin films; dynamic and thermal analysis; sample fabrication for mechanical testing.
