Description: Picatinny's Homeland Defense Technology Center (HDTC) was designated on 12 March 2003 by the Governor New Jersey as a NJ Center for Homeland Defense and Security Readiness. The ARDEC Homeland Defense Technology Team has acted swiftly to identify and move forward Army technologies that will serve both the military and civilian technological needs imposed by the Global War on Terror (GWOT). The growth of the HDTC is expanding as we exploit our core technological areas which include Sensors, Non-Lethal Systems, Knowledge Management while expanding in our growth areas that include biometrics, rapid prototyping, the defeat of lethal mechanisms, and the access of facilities for training of military and First Responders.
