Laser Engineered Net Shape Facility

Laser Engineered Net Shape (LENS) is an additive manufacturing technology that uses laser power and metal powder to repair, or build, solid metal components. Components can be fabricated or repaired directly from CAD data or through a teach and learn process. Various deposition heads are available to perform repairs on the outside of a work piece or inside diameter. Depositions are preformed using a 3kW Ytterbium Fiber Laser in a work area of 3'x5'x3'.
