The Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory is located at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. The laboratory dates back to 1939, when aero-medical research was a function of the Pensacola Naval Air Station Medical Department. The laboratory's mission is to conduct research and development in aviation medicine and allied sciences to enhance the health, safety, and readiness of Navy and Marine Corps personnel. Our programs emphasize research into spatial orientation, human performance, aero-medical standards, and aviation medicine.
