The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) manages the Air Force’s investment in basic research. As part of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), AFOSR orchestrates the Air Force’s basic research program both within the AFRL and in the academic and industrial scientific community. Collaboration between the AFOSR team and the scientists and managers in the nine directorates of AFRL is the key to its success.
