Portable Medical Equipment Suite

An integrated Medical Solution was need that can house emergency medical equipment in a compact, lightweight, transportable unit. The existing solutions that have similar medical components and functions are usually large units that are not suitable for use in large scale traumatic response scenarios and are primarilty permanent or semi-permanent solutions. As a result, the Navy has come up with the Portable Medical Equipment Suite (PMES). The PMES is a man-portable, and includes environmentally survivable box that houses all of the critical medical gear needed by Advanced Cardiac Life Support qualified medical personnel for trauma life support. The PMES is essentially a collection of off-the-shelf medical subsystems contained in a weatherproof, shock resistant plastic case that can host a variety of medical equipment. The unit is compact and contains a universal power supply for battery back-up.
