Modular Safe Room

NAVSEA CRANE

When faced with unique protection requirements for foreign diplomats, engineers at the U.S. Military Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) developed and patented an innovative modular safe room. This safe room can be easily installed on a vessel such as a citadel to provide a safe and protective hiding place for the crew in the event of an armed attack. The invention provides a means of rapidly constructing and installing an effective ballistic-proof safe room that can by easily dissembled and removed without permanent damage or modifcation to existing ship structures.
